Modern Track Lighting Fixtures

Track lighting is something that has been used for many years.  The one thing that has changed the most about track lighting is the fixtures that are used.

The use of low voltage lighting systems today is because of the demand for this type of lighting system in the home by consumers.  There are a greater variety of fixtures available in this type of low voltage lighting system. 

Not only can you get low voltage lighting fixtures but you can also use halogen bulbs in the fixtures to further lower your energy use.  They will produce a brighter light than the one that is produced by an incandescent bulb.

There are three different categories of track lighting.  The lighting that you choose for your home will either be H, L, or J types of track lighting.  When you are planning to install the track lighting on your own, you should be aware of the type of track lighting that you are using. 

There are more designs available with the H type of track lighting.  It is the newest type and experts recommend that you use this type of lighting if you are installing new track lighting.

You will also find that you have some limitations on you when you use this type of lighting in your home.  You will not be able to dim only one of the lights in the system.  All of the lights on one dimmer switch will have to be dimmed at the same time. 

The lighting fixtures are an important part of your track lighting system.  They are the thing that is seen by all who come into the room where the track lighting is installed. 

It is important that you use your current decor in the room to determine the kind of track lighting fixtures that you want.  There is a great variety of these lighting fixtures and they can add an element of style and elegance to your rooms.
